Artwork

Charcoal and white acryllic artwork of a Skull and fish

Modern Still Life

For my A-Level artwork, I chose the theme of modern still life. This painting exemplifies a differentitation of animal skulls. Consisting of white acryllic and charcoal to give the piece a realsitic and depth effect.

Water Colour and conitinous line art

Continous Line Painting

This artwork was inspired by Florian Nicolle and his famous mark making paintings. For my collection I used splashes of vivid colour but condoned them in areas of shadow. I personally love the use of colour as it defys natural tones the face compells, but I find this method to be effective as it is unique to other realism paitings.

Charcoal and white acryllic artwork of a Skull

Modern Still Life

This piece remained within the same theme, but focused more on an individual skulls. I proudly take great effort into applying intricate depth and shadow so that the painting becomes a realistic piece of still life.

Continous Line Art

I started off by creating a background of ink, with free motion on paper. I then defined the splodges by sketching with a biro. The mark makings I consisted emphasises the idea of realism and also highlights intricacy to the face that the loose ink wouldn't be able to define.

Skull with Fruit

Modern Still Life

For this piece of the collection I wanted to incorporate a mixture of classical still life objects such as fruit with the skulls. I think this approach was very effiecient as it created a sense of layering.

Continous Line Art

For this piece of continous line art, I wanted to focus on the woman's eye and create a sense of intricacy and accuracy with the additional use of water colour.
